Il 31 marzo 2016 alle ore 21.00 riaprirà ufficialmente il famoso Teatro della Città di Legnano dedicato a Talisio Tirinnanzi. Molti ospiti per la serata inaugurale, tra cui Max Pisu, Lella Costa, le sorelle Marinetti e altri ancora. Inoltre, interverranno Antonella Clerici e Antonio Provasio la “Teresa” dei Legnanesi. Per questa serata i biglietti sono già tutti esauriti, ma il Comune di Legnano da la possibilità ai cittadini e non di poter partecipare a delle visite guidate nelle giornate di sabato 2 e domenica 3 aprile dalle 16 alle 18.30.
Era il lontano 1929 l’anno dell’apertura ufficiale del Teatro, in Piazza IV Novembre, che vantava di essere il primo a Legnano. Esso rappresentava il salto di qualità di cui la Città necessitava. La direzione del Cinema Italia, conscia della mancanza di un’ente simile, affidò la costruzione all’Impresa Edile dei signori Castiglioni e Carimati di Busto Arsizio, su progetto dell’Ing. Ettore Allemandi. Quest’ultimo ha dimostrato una tecnica e un gusto artistico ammirevoli, rispondendo al linguaggio moderno.
L’importante impianto di illuminazione comprendeva 300 lampade a cambiamento di colori con dei proiettori per gli effetti di scena. La sala di platea è lunga 30 metri e larga 16; inoltre, presentava ottime condizioni di acustica e una capacità di circa 1100 spettatori. Invece, la galleria era disposta ad anfiteatro con circa 300 posti; ai suoi lati 8 palchi. Presentava un palcoscenico lungo 10 metri che abbracciava gli spettatori e una fossa orchestrale per 35 maestri.
Il Teatro è entrato definitivamente nel patrimonio del Comune nel 2011 grazie alla donazione della famiglia Tirinnanzi, che ha consentito al Comune di divenire proprietario dell’immobile. I primi tentativi del Comune di Legnano di prendere possesso dello stabile risalgono al 2003; tuttavia non venne trovato l’accordo su affitto e restauro e la questione venne accantonata. Qualche anno dopo, però, la Fondazione Tirinnanzi acquisì lo stabile e siglò un accordo con il Comune di Legnano, che prevedeva che il Comune poi si sarebbe occupato della ristrutturazione, avendo in comodato d’uso il teatro che sarebbe stato ribattezzato con l’aggiunta del nome “Tirinnanzi”, in memoria del signor Talisio Tirinnanzi. L’Amministrazione Comunale di Legnano nei primi mesi del 2009 decise di bandire un concorso per la progettazione e per la direzione dei lavori di ristrutturazione del Teatro Storico di Legnano.
I lavori si proposero di seguire il principio della massima conservazione in modo da mantenere il più possibile l’impostazione originaria dell’organismo architettonico. Gli interventi fondamentali riguardarono pertanto la creazione della torre camerini accanto alla torre scenica con annesse scale di collegamento tra i vari piani e l’ampliamento del palcoscenico mediante la creazione di un nuovo boccascena. La platea e il piano della galleria potranno accogliere circa 600 spettatori.

The direction of the Italian Cinema, aware of the lack of such an entity, entrusted the building to Company Building lords of Castiglioni and Carimati of Busto Arsizio, the project of Ing. Ettore Allemandi. The latter showed a technique and an admirable artistic taste, responding to modern language.
The important lighting included 300 color changing lamps with projectors for stage effects. The audience hall is 30 meters long and 16 wide; also it showed excellent acoustic conditions and a capacity of about 1100 spectators. Instead, the gallery was an amphitheater with 300 seats; on either side of 8 stages. It featured a stage 10 meters long that spanned spectators and orchestra pit for 35 teachers.
The Theatre definitely entered into the assets of the Municipality in 2011 thanks to the donation of Tirinnanzi family, which allowed the City to become a property owner. The first attempts of the City of Legnano to take possession of the building date back to 2003; however, it was not found agreement on rent and restoration and the issue was shelved. A few years later, however, the Tirinnanzi Foundation acquired the building and signed an agreement with the City of Legnano, which provided that the City then you would take care of restructuring, having a free loan that the theater would be renamed with the addition of the name “Twice”, in memory of Mr. Talisio Tirinnanzi. The City of Legnano in early 2009 decided to hold a competition for the design and management of the renovation of the historic Legnano’s Theatre.
The work is proposed to follow the principle of maximum storage in order to maintain the architectural organism original setting as possible. Key activities concerned the creation of the dressing tower next to the fly tower with attached connecting stairs between floors and the extension of the stage by creating a new proscenium. The stalls and the floor of the gallery can accommodate about 600 spectators.
