L’ospedale di Legnano ebbe due sedi: uno in via Candiani (il vecchio) e oggi in via Novara (il nuovo).
L’ospedale “Vecchio” di Legnano venne costruito all’inizio del ‘900, sviluppandosi nel corso del secolo con nuovi stabilimenti. Comprendeva lo stabile principale, il poliambulatorio, la portineria e la sede di infermieristica universitaria. Purtroppo, a causa dell’aumento della popolazione e, quindi, la necessità di fornire maggiori servizi, venne progettato il nuovo ospedale, che oggi ha sede in Via Novara.
Il nuovo ospedale è uno dei più all’avanguardia di tutta Italia e possiede tutti i servizi necessari. Inoltre, la posizione favorisce il servizio, non solo, ai cittadini di Legnano, ma bensì di tutta la zona limitrofa comprendendo i Comuni di Villa Cortese, Busto Garolfo e Borsano.
La chiusura e l’apertura dei due ospedali risale al 2011. Inoltre, la Vecchia struttura non ha smesso di vivere, poiché è ancora funzionante il poliambulatorio. Purtroppo il resto dell’area è ancora senza futuro, anche se ci sarebbero delle proposte che continuano ad avanzare, ma senza un seguito.

The hospital “Old” of Legnano was built in the early ‘900, developed during the course of the century with new plants. It included the main building of the health center, the concierge and the offices of university nursing. Unfortunately, due to the increase of the population and, therefore, the need to provide more services, was designed the new hospital, which now has its headquarters in Via Novara.
The new hospital is one of the most advanced of all Italy and has all the necessary services. Also, the location promotes the service, not only to nationals of Legnano, but of the entire neighboring area including the municipalities of Villa Cortese, Busto Arsizio and Borsano.
The closing and opening of the two hospitals dates back to 2011. In addition, the Old hotel has stopped living, since it is still working the clinic. Unfortunately the rest of the area is still without a future, even if there would be proposals that continue to advance, but without a following.
